New Years Resolutions…they are coming. You know you are going to come up with something. Then a week later, you will have already fallen off the wagon.
Let’s try something different. Instead of starting January 1st, let’s start today, December 1st.
What are some goals you might have for the next year? Why not get started on them now before all of the pressure of New Years gets here? I’m starting today because I actually want to achieve my goals, not just be part of some manufactured experience that last a few weeks or days.
Are you with me? Okay, here are 3 steps to get you started.
1) Decide you are starting today, December 1st. (Yes, it’s okay to pick another date, like next week, December 8th, but don’t wait another month.)
2) Make a list of 10 potential goals. Write down the first 10 ideas that come to mind. They might be professional, personal, spiritual, physical, etc.
3) Narrow the list down. Decide tonight on your top 1-3 goals. If you pick too many, you will be shooting yourself in the foot.
While you are doing this, I’ll be writing a post on what to do next with your 1-3 goals.
What are some goals you are considering? Please share in the comments section. Your ideas might help spark an idea in someone else.
