2015 Birthday List Update: Time with Friends & Family, Crescent City Cafe and Evernote ScanSnap

I was already having an amazing birthday. I had been able to check off many of the highlights from my birthday list.

#19 A walk with the family. Check.
#18 Chinese food for dinner…with my family! Check.
#7 Cup of tea at the end of the day, on the couch, watching TV with my wife. Check.
#2 Coffee with a close friend. Check, check, check. The three close friends who were in my wedding either took me out for coffee or called and talked to me.

In addition to this, I got loose leaf tea and a mug from my wife. It’s been an awesome week!

But wait. There’s more.

Crescent City Cafe $100,000
No we didn’t get it all, but we have gotten started. A friend and ministry partner couple who often send big checks to us, sent $2,000. As usual, it did not have a specific designation. When I texted the husband to thank him, he replied, “49 more to go to get to $100,000.”

I would not have thought about it like this. That is significant. I think there are 49 other people who might be able to get us where we need to be. Want to join in? Evernote ScanSnap
So last night I got home late…okay it was probably eight something. Still I hadn’t been home all day and to my surprise SOMEONE had sent me and Evernote ScanSnap!

In case you somehow didn’t already know, I really like Evernote. Here is one of my posts: Remember Everything: My Most Useful Productivity Tool. Evernote even called to survey me once. Yes, it was a highlight of my life.

Someone got me an Evernote ScanSnap! To say that I am surprised and excited would be an understatement. I’m up before 4:30 am on a Saturday trying to figure out who got it for me. I can’t sleep! 😉

So to whoever got this for me. Thank you. I cannot wait to use it!

The Birthday List
Honestly, the birthday list was only half serious. I didn’t actually expect anyone to buy me an Evernote ScanSnap or help us get to $100,000 so we can expand Crescent City Cafe. However, this is where we are at, so I’ll keep you posted.

Thank you to everyone who has helped make this birthday so AWESOME!
