Changing Habits Starts in Your Mind: Think Intentionally

Do you have a habit you want to break? Do you ever get distracted by thoughts that lead you down a path you don’t really want to take? Do your thoughts lead to actions you regret?

Poor choices begin as poor thoughts. If you want to change habits, you must learn to shift your thinking when you are tempted down an unhelpful, unproductive or destructive path. It starts in your head.

Think Intentionally/Thought Management
You must decide in advance which thoughts are going to rule you for this day. You must make a choice to manage your thoughts rather than letting them boss you around. You will rule them or they will rule you.

How do think intentionally? It begins with Thought Management. Decide in advance where you are going to steer your mind when it unconsciously goes where you don’t want it to go.

Choose a subject, a project, an activity to replace the natural course your mind normally takes you. Plan to do this each and every time your mind starts on the unwanted path to nowhere good.
