Work That Matters

Halloween

Halloween is not a special day for us and our kids. I don’t know if it is because they grew up in New Orleans or because they are kids. Halloween is just another opportunity to dress up, like any other day. Other people happen to be joining in the fun though.

Some of my readers probably have some pretty negative feelings about Halloween and possibly even Santa Clause and Christmas. That’s fine. I’m not interested in changing your stance.

I would say this, “Inspire creativity in your children.” However you want to do that, is fine with me. As a parent of young children, I believe I really have no idea how important this is.

Life, school and society will attempt to snuff this out of your children. Do not let them loose their imaginations and their ability to create. It will serve them for the rest of their life whether at home or work, in their faith, in good times and bad. Keep creativity alive.

How do you foster the imaginations of your children? How do you you keep your creativity alive? Please share in the comments or on social media.
