Idea Addict Superpower

Being an Idea Addict can be overwhelming. The constant flood of ideas is both exhilarating and extremely stressful. You feel like you need to record every idea and do something with it. Unfortunately, there are too many to move forward with and actually execute.

In your daily life, it is overwhelming. To think of creating only one business seems impossible. So you fumble through trying to go in a million different directions at once.

The solution is not to stop being an Idea Addict. There are a lot of things you could be addicted to in life and I think ideas are one of the best choices of addiction.

Ideas help people. They make people better. They transform communities and they transform individuals’ lives. No, don’t try to stop being an Idea Addict, to stop having a lot of wonderful ideas. Instead, take these ideas and move them forward.

I believe being an Idea Addict is a wonderful superpower. God made you this way and God does not make mistakes. You can wield this superpower for the greater good.

If you are an Idea Addict, what is your biggest struggle? How do you overcome the overwhelm?

Wise words! For me, I just get those ideas out of my head and into a notebook or evernote. I focus on the task at hand while remaining flexible. New ideas help you to see what’s truly important in your current projects and give you something to look forward to. Keep the ideas flowing!

I do not multi-task well! I LOVE ideas, and so many seem feasible, but I cannot deal with them all together w/o becoming overwhelmed and then paralyzed. Consequently, NOTHING gets done! I have to pick the one that seems most important to my goals and work on that one first, then go down the list and pick the next, and so on and so on. Wish I were a better multi-tasker, but I am as God made me, and that’s how I deal… Making lists and checking them off does help, even if it’s a mental list.

Oh, I agree! Multitasking is a myth. You’re doing it the right way.
