Choose Your Backpack Wisely

I once heard someone say you should choose your backpack wisely. Whatever size backpack you choose, you will fill it. If you get a small one, you will fill it. If you get a huge one, you will fill it.

This has been true in my life. Whether it be in my backpack, closet, schedule, bookshelf or Evernote account, I fill it to capacity. This is not good. Filling to capacity weighs you down.

What are some areas of your life where choosing a smaller backpack would make your life better? Please share in the comments section or on social media.

Hey, I’m Adam Suter. This is my personal blog. I am married to the love of my life, Michelle, and have three wonderful children. We live in Marietta, GA. I run a small nonprofit. Some of the things that fascinate me are faith, new ideas, people, stories, productivity, nonprofits, and my own children.

I have moved from a residence of 30 years with a walk-in closet, huge work space, and lots of shelf space to a smaller room, small closet and limited shelf space. I tried to give away and throw away, but when I arrived with my four suitcases and 21 boxes, that more letting go was necessary. I have one box and a suitcase filled for the good will, but am still working on making that backpack smaller.
